Job Background:
My client is a leading Marketing Design Agency based in London who are actively looking to recruit a permanent full time Accounts Payable Clerk. This role reports directly into the Finance Manager and Financial Controller so there is plenty of opportunities to be involved with various other finance tasks which may include Accounts Receivable exposure. The role of the Accounts Payable person is to accurately process invoices, credit cards and expense claims into the financial reporting system.
Job Duties:
Processing supplier invoices and ensuring all are correctly coded and signed off
Credit card and employee expense processing
Responsible for the preparation of cheque/BACS payments
Maintenance of purchase ledger including liaising with suppliers when needed
Supplier statement reconciliation
Managing the petty cash
Managing the fixed assets register and posting all related journals
Reconciling prepayment accounts
Job Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will need the following attributes and key skills: Accounts Payable experience
Good attention to detail
Team player
Intermediate Excel skills
Some exposure to Maconomy and foreign currency transactions is desirable but not essential.
