To work closely with the Director, Client Services and all project teams to achieve the company’s short to long term goals for new business.
The post holder will be responsible for the planning, organisation and implementation of the company’s business development activities within targeted accounts.
This is a key role in achieving growth in new business through effective business development activities, both proactive and reactive. Responsible for the development and selling of business, at operating margins, within targeted accounts to then hand to Client Services Unit (CSU) for delivery.
Key roles:
To contribute to the achievement of sales target through the achievement of personal annual sales targets via new business activity
To develop a new business sales account plan for allocated accounts
To generate Requests For Proposals (RFPs) from targeted accounts through proactive activity with clients
To have responsibility for planning and directing new business proposals in conjunction with PCM teams from inception to completion including:
client liaison
strategic marketing input
creative planning
project costing
co-ordination/writing of proposal
pitch delivery
Essential
Life sciences or other relevant degree and/or business qualification
Conceptual and analytical thinking ability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
IT literate
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
Self-motivated with entrepreneurial drive
Plus (one or more of these)
Pharmaceutical marketing experience
Medical Education/Communications experience
Business development/Sales experience in the Pharmaceutical service industry
