Account Executive - This role requires someone who is energetic, persistent, who has strong communication skills and who has natural sales ability
The individual must be able to take direction, think on their feet and have a strong personal drive/desire to succeed
There will be a high level of telephone activity to develop and convert the sales pipeline. The job holder will be comfortable in dealing with customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Follow up predominately pre-qualified leads, but also business develop own leads as well as ensuring understanding of prospect and products, services and competitors.
• Responsibility for building relationships with customers to convert qualified leads into sales
• Matching client’s specific needs with our range of products and services
• Ensuring the database is updated professionally with new leads, key conversation summaries and other qualified information
• Ensuring appropriate follow-up on all sales leads and enquiries
• Keep up to date with current news affairs and topics related to industry to ensure an understanding of current industry trends, developments and issues
• To accurately identify and target via telephone calls the key decision maker within a qualified company and speak professionally and with enthusiasm regarding the product.
• To work with sales management in putting together an appropriate sales proposition and presenting this accurately to decision makers
• Keep accurate records of all clients information on CRM to assist the account management team in their daily tasks
• Provide management with a report, detailing pipelines, ‘hot’ business and expected weekly revenues
• Send clients relevant information needed including all terms and conditions within company guidelines to secure a potential sales
• Ensure all targets (personal and company) are regularly met and any problems or issues are identified with an appropriate action plan in place to resolve issues
• Protect the integrity of the product through discounting only within company guidelines and presenting products in a professional and ethical manner at all times
• You will be required to participate in training and development initiatives to improve your personal development
• Identify own developmental needs and work with HR and management in putting appropriate development plans in place
Key Performance Indicators:
The performance and success criteria for this position will be based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and revenue generation. The KPI’s would typically be:
• Call rates to be on average a minimum of 60 a day
• Minimum of 6 pitches a day
• Minimum of £10,000 per month
• Educated to Life Science degree level or equivalent
