Job Duties:
Purpose

Manage designated projects on key client accounts.
Understand and deliver solutions to clients’ communication requirements.
Ensure all designated projects are completed to time and budget.

Reports to: Account Director/Director, Client Services

Roles and responsibilities

Principal project manager on designated accounts.
Review content of projects to ensure they meet the approved brief .
Implement organised and efficient project management systems consistent with APO SM SOPs
Oversee the preparation of all estimates and schedules on designated accounts.

Immediately re-estimate projects whenever the initial brief changes alerting Director, Client Services to this.
Monitor time spent on projects to ensure deliverables are met within the schedule and to budget.
Liaise internally with the financial accountant to ensure projects are reconciled and invoiced in a timely and accurate manner.

Gain understanding of accurate forecasting to work with senior staff in providing recommendations for designated accounts.
Recognise and exploit new business opportunities within existing accounts.
Assist in the training and development of more junior staff in all aspects of project management.

Ability to rapidly establish strong rapport with new and existing clients through strong delivery of projects to a consistently high standard
Good communication skills
Solid understanding of all agency processes and scope of activities
Ability to take and give good briefs
Ability to work well under pressure
Good product knowledge on all relevant accounts and associated products

Strong report writing ability
Ability to assist Account Director/Director of Client Services in training team members in project management processes
Developing management and leadership skills
Self motivated

Understanding of client needs on designated accounts
Quickly understand and adhere to all internal processes and systems
Ability to multi-task and work well under tight time constraints
Good attention to detail
Flexibility to travel
Ability to work in a team
Flexible and positive mental attitude
Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise
Good PC skills included Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Job Qualifications:
Experience and qualifications

Ideally a life science graduate
A good track record of effectively managing projects within an agency environment
Agency experience or experience in the industry as a sales representative
