Outline

Our client is a leading provider of medical education and marketing services to the pharmaceutical industry. They are a dynamic, experienced and scientifically-focused team of professionals, committed to exceeding our clients’ expectations.

Our client has a have a huge range of outputs at the moment (with target audiences ranging from all levels of healthcare professional, through to patients and consumers), which makes working at our client’s quite varied

Meetings, exhibitions etc. and also very involved in digital media. Plus - one huge component of the work is patient and investigator recruitment for clinical trials (advertising materials to encourage people to take part in, and stay on, clinical trials).

These materials are highly designed, and written in a patient-friendly style, which adds to the interest of the role. We try to involve our staff in as wide a variety of outputs as possible – no-one is limited to writing/editing on one therapy area for one target audience.

Purpose

We are looking for a proven project/account director with experience of medical education delivery in the pharmaceutical sector, either client or agency side.

The successful candidate will take overall responsibility and accountability for the direction, delivery and financial growth and management of a major client accounts, leading the project team to achieve these goals.

They should have experience of acting as the principal client interface and working within client teams. They would need to have a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical regulatory environment and be able to liaise with and coordinate a number of internal and external stakeholders.

The candidate will also need to have a strong heritage in congress and events management. The role will entail managing the resource and client interaction of the project management teams, who are responsible for delivering on a major client account managing multiple projects including advisory boards, standalone meetings, satellite symposia and exhibitions, slide kits, webcasts and more.

Within these projects, the team develop and manage budgets, coordinate compliance and approvals, develop and track materials timelines including copy layout, approval and production, brief and coordinate stakeholders, oversee onsite delivery and post event evaluation and identify synergies and savings.

Job Qualifications:
The individual will need to ensure quality delivery across multiple franchises acting as a senior point of contact for the client and providing reporting information on resource and project financial status.

International travel will be required.

Line management experience is a prerequisite.
