Job Background:
Our client is an independent, specialist healthcare communications company. Due to new business, they currently have a requirement for a Project Manager.

As a Project Manager, you will deliver high quality material outputs in terms of:
accuracy content (message), ease of client approval, quality control, timeliness

Job Duties:
Editorial
Manage projects for key accounts.
•Write, review and edit copy to ensure it fulfils client brief and outline supplied.
•Ensure that outlines and first copy are circulated to Project Director
•Updating/reviewing material in-line with client comments
•Ensure all copy is accurately referenced
•Mark-up references as per client requirements
•Provide creative input and supply clients with design concepts
•Develop client chosen concepts through to print-ready files
•Co-ordinate and manage print process where applicable

Account organisation
Managing references, archive and project folders
Project Content
Keep up-to-date with data, new references and developments in the relevant therapeutic fields.

Communication
•Attending meetings to discuss project initiation, development and finalisation
•Day-to-day contact with client on all project specific queries
•Liaising with authors regarding content.
•Communicating changes /issues to client and incorporating as appropriate
•Communicate any changes which may have a bearing on the project specification to the Project Director

Project / time management
Create written project specifications and expectations for freelance support staff
Update and maintain “Tracker” entries on all projects ( electronic account management system)

Teamwork
Ensure that all members of the team are kept informed of any material change to the project in terms of specification, budget and schedule
Ensure that all team members are up-to-date with any developments in the disease or drug area
•Client developments, strategy changes etc.
•e-mail alerts, new references, competitor info

Job Qualifications:
A Life Science Degree (or equivalent)
Background in editorial, looking to leverage skills within Med Comms
Previous experience of working in medical education or medical/scientific publishing
Team player, confident to work alone yet contribute to the group as and when required.
