Job Background:
Our client is a growing medical communications agency that creates medical education and communication solutions for the International pharmaceutical industry. They are currently looking for an Editorial Manager to join their team.
Job Duties:
Editorial Managers are responsible for the management and co-ordination of a team of up to four editorial staff across one or more account teams. You will act as the team lead for an account and are responsible for the timely delivery of projects to the highest possible editorial standard. You will work closely with the clients to identify potential new business opportunities and provide strategic direction for the account whilst ensuring smooth progression of work through the entire project. You will be responsible for taking client briefs, monitoring resourcing needs and allocating project tasks within account teams, providing strategic direction to the editorial team and review the work of editorial staff at first and final draft/proof stages to ensure correct strategic focus
Job Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have proven ability to manage several projects/accounts simultaneously, the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with key clients and in-depth understanding of the client’s aims and objectives of the market situation in which they are working. Good prioritisation and delegation skills are required together with excellent editorial skills and an in-depth understanding of a number of therapeutic areas.
