Job Background:
Our client is a growing medical communications agency that creates medical education and communication solutions for the International pharmaceutical industry. They are currently looking for an Editor to join their team.
Job Duties:
Reporting directly to the Senior Editor, you will be responsible for implementing editorial tasks as a member of one or more account teams. These tasks will include writing, editing, proofreading and organising artwork and typesetting of editorial projects under the supervision of an Editorial Manager, in liaison with other members of the account team. The Editor will also be responsible for day-to-day client communication and management of project tasks. You will research background information for new and ongoing projects and potential new accounts, monitor budgets against project costs, perform accuracy checks, prepare reference packs for regulatory submission and ensure the project brief is met to a high editorial standard and on schedule.
Job Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and rewriting skills with the ability to develop clear messages and portray scientific data accurately. Communications skills and awareness of common editorial and typesetting mistakes/issues is important together with an understanding of a number of therapeutic areas.
